A reminder that MCA's Board Application deadline is Wednesday, September 21st. MCA is committed to maintaining a culture of diversity and equity in our arts advocacy. We seek to assemble a board that represents the various cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints held by Minnesotans. As a membership body, our strength is in our promise to be inclusive. Therefore, MCA embraces candidates from diverse populations and/or underrepresented groups to continue to achieve our mission. 2022 Congressional Arts Report Card Released
This week our national arts partner at Americans for the Arts (AFTA) released the 2022 Congressional Arts Report Card. Half of Minnesota's delegation was given a positive "Thumbs Up" rating and Rep Betty McCollum, Rep Dean Phillips and Sen Klobuchar were all given special recognition for their work. Download the full report card to see if your member of Congress supported the arts this year.
More Updates from the Field
MCA and our team at Larkin Hoffman continue to travel around the state meeting with influential legislators. Last week we were in Worthington, meeting with State Senator Bill Weber. A special thank you to Senator Weber for attending and to the Worthington Memorial Auditorium for hosting the meeting to talk about the importance of state arts funding. A reminder these important meetings throughout the state are only possible thanks to the support of MCA's members. Please consider becoming a member today.
