Yesterday marked the first day of Minnesota’s 2026 legislative session at the Minnesota State Capitol. In recognition of the power of the arts, and the healing and connection they provide, the session opened with music performed by Minnesota musicians.
In just under two weeks, on March 3rd, arts advocates from across the state will gather for Arts Advocacy Day to ensure legislators hear directly from the people and organizations who power Minnesota’s creative economy.
If you care about strong communities, vibrant main streets, arts education, and a thriving creative workforce, now is the moment to engage. The groundwork for funding decisions and policy priorities is being laid right now.
Lawmakers are back at the Capitol, and in just under two weeks, arts advocates will be there too.
Let’s make sure the arts continue to be part of the conversation from the very beginning.
