THANK YOU FOR MAKING ADVOCACY DAY A SUCCESS!
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of Minnesota Citizens for the Arts' first in-person Arts Action Day since 2019, and we couldn't have done it without your enthusiastic response and support!
Here are some highlights from the week:
- Over 400 individuals took action for the arts by registering, attending, or sending a letter for Arts Action Week.
- MCA organized over 100 legislative meetings held either in person or over Zoom.
- Sign-ups for Arts Action Week covered for nearly 80% of 201 legislative districts in the state.
- We were honored to have legislative leaders speak at our rally in support of the arts, including Legacy Chair Sen. Hawj, Rep. Lillie, and Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson.
Your participation and advocacy made a significant impact, demonstrating the strength and unity of our arts community in Minnesota. Thank you for your dedication to advancing the arts, and we look forward to continuing our work together in the future.

There is still a way to take action for the arts!Even if you were able to attend Arts Action Day 2024 in person, I encourage you to take a moment to send a letter to your local legislator using MCA's system. It's essential to express our gratitude for their support of the arts during this legislative session. Additionally, consider sharing your personal story about why the arts matter to you. If you've benefited from a grant, don't hesitate to inform legislators about its positive impact on you and your community. Make it authentic and share your story!
