Make Today Count for Your Community and the Arts

Election Day is HERE! Today, Tuesday, November 3, is your opportunity to make your voice heard in the state and for the arts! According to the Minnesota Secretary of State, as of yesterday morning nearly 900,000 early ballots had already been accepted across Minnesota. Whether you've already voted or are heading to the polls today, every voice matters!

Your vote matters for the arts, too! The decisions made by elected officials directly impact arts funding, cultural organizations, creative workers, and access to the arts in communities across Minnesota. Before heading out, take a moment to review these helpful last-minute reminders and resources, including polling locations, voting hours, and absentee ballot information. Make your voice heard today and help shape the future of Minnesota's arts community!

Voting In-Person Today?

  • Polls are open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Anyone in line by 8 p.m. has the right to vote.
  • MN offers same-day voter registration. If someone missed the October 13 advance registration deadline, they can still register at their polling place on Election Day.
  • Questions about registering to vote today? – Minnesota offers same-day voter registration on Election Day.
  • Find Your Polling Place – Know where to go to cast your ballot.
  • Preview Your Ballot Before You Vote – See which candidates and questions will appear on your ballot.

Absentee Ballot Update:

Absentee ballots must be returned to local election offices TODAY, not postmarked. Voters who still have an absentee ballot in hand today have two options:

  • Hand deliver it to the return address on the envelope by 5 p.m., November 3rd.

  • Spoil the absentee ballot and go vote in person at their polling place. Voter records are updated as soon as an absentee ballot is accepted, so as long as the absentee ballot has not been counted, in person voting is still an option.

  • Don't know if your ballot has been received? Check with the MN SOS.
