Minnesota Citizens for the Arts (MCA) and our passionate advocates are a mighty force at the state Capitol who work together to improve access to the arts for all Minnesotans. 

MCA is fully supported by members like you.

This year, empowered by the work of our advocates, MCA was at the Capitol to ensure that arts funding would not only help the arts survive, but thrive and flourish. Because of our work together, MCA protected Arts Legacy and General Fund dollars, securing over $100 million in state arts funding.

Our work is not done! 2024 will again be a crucial year for the arts as legislators continue to debate how to spend surplus funds as well as the 2024 General Election which could shift the balance of the House.

With your support this year, MCA will continue to:

• Engage Lawmakers: while strengthening our bonds with Capitol leadership and legislative arts champions.
• Increase Grassroots Activities: including meeting with legislators, arts organizations, artists, and arts supporters in all of the eleven Regional Arts Council Districts.
• Drive and Expand Critical Research: through Creative MN which strengthens the economic impact case for arts funding at the Capitol.
