Arts Sent a Loud Message to the Governor

Last week we asked you to take action for the arts and help us deliver over 1,200 letters to the Capitol.

Minnesota's arts advocates responded with over 1,200 letters and counting!  Because of your enthusiasm, we hand- delivered your letters directly to the office of Governor Tim Walz to show how important this funding is to you and the state of Minnesota.

With the end of session just over 2 weeks away, we are delivering your messages on the importance of arts funding and the CREATE Jobs bill, to your legislators and other influential leaders at the Capitol. This bill, if passed, would have an immediate impact to Minnesota's arts and culture organizations, as well as, give an economic boost to downtowns across Minnesota.

Big Moves Behind the Scenes

Behind the scenes, MCA and our partners at MNIVA deployed a targeted campaign featuring a letter from some of Minnesota's most influential artists and arts donors to Capitol Leadership on the importance of the CREATE Jobs bill and getting it funded this year.

MCA is also working on getting an Op-Ed printed that is signed by arts organizations from across the state. We hope to be able to share more of that information with you soon.
