An Inside Look at the Final Days of Session

What a busy year for the arts at the Capitol this session! MCA and the arts community had some big wins, which include an increase in arts funding from both the Legacy and General Fund that is now over $100 million for the biennium. Because of you, we also came close in passing the CREATE jobs bill, and we were there advocating for you and the arts until the very end.

However, we know our advocates are eager to have an inside look at the final days of session and what are MCA's plans going forward. REMINDER: Please Send Us A LEGACY Thank You for Legislators!

We want to say thank you for the $93 million+ in arts funding to legislators for supporting and defending the arts with the Legacy bill this session. To say thank you, we would like to send a video from your organization or as an individual saying "Thank You for Legacy!” coming to our organizations or communities.

We will splice all the videos together and send them to the Legacy House and Senator committee members and push out the video compilation on social channels and tag you/your organizations! We included a couple samples below as an example for you. You can send us your video by replying to this email. Please send these videos to us by Friday, June 2nd.
