House to Vote on NEA Funding: Call Your Congressman Now

The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote on an amendment to increase funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) when the FY2001 Interior Appropriations bill goes to the floor this month. The NEA funding measure could come to the House floor as early as JUNE 8, 2000.

Congresswoman Nancy Johnson (R-CT) is committed to offering an amendment which would increase the appropriation for the NEA by as much as $10 million from its current level of $98 million. Please call your own Congressman and relay the following:
