Urge Your Legislators to Support the Arts –
Because the Arts Give Back!
The legislative session has begun and we are starting a new campaign called
Arts Give Back.
We want legislators to know that when they support the arts, the Arts Give Back in stronger communities, smarter kids, a stronger economy, and more.
Your legislators need to know that their constituents support the arts. In the 2019 legislative session, our legislators will be considering the next two years of arts funding. This year is also the 10th anniversary of the passage of the Legacy Amendment. We want to make sure they know that Legacy arts funding has had a positive impact and that their constituents support the arts.
Please take five minutes to ask them to support the arts.
And don’t forget to register for Arts Advocacy Day on March 12, 2019.
We’ve created posters, logos, social media posts and more that you can download for free at: http://artsmn.org/artsgiveback/.
Below are a few examples of what’s available to help you get the word out about the positive impacts of the arts. There are program ads of many shapes and sizes too.**
The legislative session ends in early May. We are hoping everyone will spread these messages far and wide from now until then. Help achieve our goal to secure stable or increased funding for the arts for the next two years.
**Download the “Logos” file for the heart image to make your own customized posters and social media posts to share your story of the positive impact of state arts funding.
