ALL FOR ART: Time to Take Action!
This is not a drill.
President Trump has proposed deleting all of the cultural agencies. Minnesota recieves about $5 million annually in NEA grants across the state.
The arts and culture contribute over $2 billion annually to Minnesota’s economy and support over 104,000 artist and creative worker jobs. These cuts would hit Minnesota harder than other states because the arts are such a big part of our quality of life and sense of place. Minnesotans attend the arts and create art themselves more than other Americans (source: www.creativeMN.org).. This would be a big hit to our arts community.
For more than 50 years, the NEA has expanded access to the arts for all Americans, awarding grants in every Congressional district throughout all 50 states and U.S. Territories as well as placing arts therapists in 12 military hospitals to help returning soldiers heal from traumatic brain injuries.
Take action now. Save the NEA! The most important thing you can do is to contact your members of Congress.
Please forward to friends who care about the arts.
